PURPOSE: To establish a Mahomet-Seymour Alumni Association Hall of Fame to recognize Mahomet-Seymour graduates, employees and major contributors who have distinguished themselves by their individual contributions in scholarship, career, athletics, the arts, community service, and/or society as a whole.

We are accepting nominations now for our First Hall of Fame Class!

Nomination Timeline:
  Nominations for 2017 Hall of Fame Class end on May 1st 2017 (anyone nominated after this date will be considered in the 2018 class)
  Selections for 2017 Hall of Fame Class completed by July 1st 2017
  Hall of Fame Recognition – Fall 2017

CATEGORIES FOR INDUCTION CONSIDERATION
  1. Distinguished Life Time Achievements
  2. Athletics
  3. Fine Arts/Performing Arts
  4. Service

1. CRITERIA FOR DISTINGUISHED LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT
  CANDIDATE: Must have been a graduate of Mahomet-Seymour for 20 years prior to being nominated.
  CRITERIA: (nominated in this category based on one of the following)
    a. Must have achieved honor and distinction in their chosen occupation or endeavors at the local, state, national or international level.
    b. They must have demonstrated outstanding qualities of citizenship, leadership and have made significant contributions to society.
    c. Nominee distinction may have come from some great personal achievement or valued effort.
    d. Nominee must be a role model for current and future MSHS students

2. CRITERIA FOR ATHLETES AND COACHES
  ATHLETES: Must have been a graduate of Mahomet-Seymour for ten years prior to being nominated.
  CRITERIA: (nominated in this category based on one of the following)
    a. Selected as an All State Athlete on a 1st, 2nd or 3rd team
    b. 1st Team All League/Conference
    c. Was a member of a State Championship Team or an individual State Championship
    d. Was a member of an All Conference Team
    e. Was a collegiate or professional athlete or a member of a team representing the USA
    f. Achieved outstanding recognition or success outside of MSHS or IHSA, such as college, conference or national records or championships
    g. Made a significant contribution in their chosen field or endeavor, or contributed to the Mahomet community

  COACHES: Must have been out of coaching positions for more than 5 years and coached in Mahomet-Seymour school system for at least 7 years, or have been a head coach at MSHS for at least 5 years.
  CRITERIA: (Must meet three of the following)
    a. Had a winning percentage as a coach
    b. Honored by peers or media at district, state or national level
    c. Coached a conference, regional, sectional or state championship team or individual athlete
    d. Made significant contributions in the chosen field of endeavor or made major contributions to the Mahomet community or MSHS
    e. Received state, national, or international recognition

3. CRITERIA FOR SERVICE AWARD
  CANDIDATE: Nominee in this category may or may not be a MSHS graduate.
  CRITERIA: (nominated in this category based on one of the following)
    a. Nominee through their service have made extraordinary contributions to Mahomet-Seymour School District
    b. Had a major influence on the educational goals of Mahomet-Seymour students
    c. Must demonstrate these qualities in a manner that has inspired the students and community of Mahomet-Seymour
    d. Had a major influence/service to state, country or the international community
    e. Recognized accomplishments in military service

4. CRITERIA FOR FINE AND/OR PERFORMING ARTS
  CANDIDATE: Must have been a graduate for Mahomet-Seymour for 10 years prior to being nominated.
  CRITERIA: (nominated in this category based on one of the following)
    a. A recognized name regionally, nationally or internationally in the fine or performing arts
    b. Major contributor to the promotion of cultural activities
    c. Honored by peers through awards received by a professional organization
